Replacing SmartKey batteries

୴̈ Pull battery compartment 3 out of the
SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO*
̈ Pull battery compartment 2 out of the
housing in direction of arrow.
SmartKey housing.
Replacement batteries: Lithium, type
CR 2025 or equivalent.

Remove the batteries in direction of ar-
row.
̈
Remove mechanical key 1 from the
SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO
(
୴ page 459).

̈ Pull out batteries 4.
̈
Using a line-free cloth, insert new bat-
teries 4 under contact springs 3 with
the positive terminal (+) side facing up.

Using a lint-free cloth, insert new bat-
teries 4 under contact spring 5 with
the positive terminal (+) facing up.

Return battery compartment 2 into
housing until it locks into place.

Insert mechanical key 1 into opening.

Return battery compartment 3 into
housing until it locks into place.
̈ Press mechanical key 1 in direction of
Slide mechanical key 1 back into
SmartKey.

Slide mechanical key 1 back into
SmartKey.
The battery compartment is unlatched.
Check the operation of the SmartKey.
