Take out battery.
Step 10 (Reinstalling)

Carry out step 9 (୴ page 493) first and
then step 7 (୴ page 493), both in re-
verse order.
b Battery ventilation hose
c Battery
f Positive terminal with cover
g Negative terminal
d Battery attachment
e Attachment nuts

Disconnect battery negative lead from
negative terminal g.

̈
̈
Pull battery ventilation hose b out of
battery c.
Remove the cover from positive termi-
nal f.
Unfasten and remove attachment
nuts e.
b Battery ventilation hose
h Vent plug
Disconnect battery positive lead from
positive terminal f.
Remove battery attachment d.

The battery, battery ventilation
hose b, and vent plug h must always
be securely installed when the vehicle
is in operation.
