A navigation system that’s a real turn for the better
The COMAND multimedia navigation system
The optional COMAND multimedia system¹ combines
the controls and displays for the in-car audio, telephone
and navigation systems. Despite boasting a wide range
of functions, the COMAND system is as intelligent and
user-friendly as ever, thanks to a streamlined set of
controls. In addition, its electrically folding 7-inch screen
features high resolution graphics and colours and is at the
same height as the instrument panel, making it ideally
positioned for the driver’s field of vision.

The COMAND system can be operated either via the
control panel in the middle of the centre console or
via the controller situated in front of the armrest.
All key functions can also be operated via the integrated
Linguatronic voice control system: the system can
understand all road and place names via whole-word
recognition, previously stored telephone numbers can
be dialled by simply stating the name of the person
you wish to call and, if the telephone pre-wiring option is
