In critical situations, every second is precious
The Pre-Safe anticipatory safety system
Until 2002, the final seconds before an impact had gone
largely unused. Then Mercedes-Benz introduced the
Pre-Safe system. Now fitted to the C-Class as standard,
the Pre-Safe system makes the most of that time, initia-
ting a range of measures that enhance occupant protection
should the collision prove unavoidable.
The Pre-Safe system: if a potential accident is imminent, the Pre-Safe
system can trigger the seat belt pre-tensioners, close the side windows and
electric sunroof (if fitted) and move the front passenger seat to a more
favourable position (if fitted with Memory Package)
