Common-rail diesel engines
On road or off, the M-Class delivers maximum
enjoyment. It combines four-wheel-drive
stability with remarkable agility – and gives
you the power to make the most of both. The
ML300 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and ML350 CDI
BlueEFFICIENCY, for instance, offer 204hp
V8-engined ML450 CDI delivers even more
power, with an output of 306hp (225kW) and
peak torque of 700Nm.
the individually controlled valves as soon as the
accelerator is pressed. The result is greater
responsiveness, higher levels of refinement and
lower fuel consumption.
The latest-generation common rail technology
ensures all three are highly efficient. Its central
accumulator rail keeps fuel at a high pressure
at all times, where it’s ready to be injected via

peak torque of 500Nm and 540Nm, while the
