Passive safety in the M-Class
Whatever happens en route, we don’t want any-
thing to happen to you. That’s why we build the
M-Class around a highly robust passenger cell.
To this we add energy-absorbing deformation
zones and strengthened doors, while that high
ground clearance further enhances your safety.
In addition, the M-Class is equipped with a range
of advanced restraint systems, including dual-
stage airbags for the driver and front seat
for front and rear. Neck-Pro active front head
restraints also come as standard for the SE and
Sport models – they automatically move
towards the head in a rear-end collision, helping
to reduce the risk of whiplash injuries.
For greater safe
Memory Package includes an exit aid function
that moves the steering wheel to a more favour-
able position.
