STARTING AND OPERATING
Improp er   alignm ent  will   not  cause   vehicle   vibration.
Vibration   may   be  a  resu lt  of   tire  and   wheel   out-of-
balance.   Prop er  balancing    will   red uce  vibration    and
avoid  tire  cupping  and  spotty   wear.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM —  IF
EQUIPPED
The  Tire  Pressu re  Monitor   System  (TPM)  system   uses
wireless  technology   with  wheel  rim  mounted   electronic
sensors   to  monitor   tire   pressu re  levels   (EXCLUDIN G
THE  SPARE TIRE). Sensors,   mounted   to each  wheel   as
part  of the  valve stem , transm  it tire pressu  re read ings to
the Electronic  Vehicle Inform ation  Center  (EVIC) display
in the  instru ment  cluster.
ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) — IF  EQUIPPED
CAUTIO N!
All Wheel  Drive  (AWD) veh icles  must  have the  sam e
size  and  typ e tires   on all  wheel   position  s. Unequal
tire  sizes  must   not  be  used .  Unequal   tire  size  may
cause  failu re  of  the  power   tran sfer  unit  and/or   the
viscou s couplin  g.
NOTE:   It  is particu larly  important,  for  you to  check the
tire  pressu re in  all of you r  tires regu larly  and  too  main-
tain  the prop er  pressu re.
When   the  approp  riate  cond itions   exist,  the  Electronic
Vehicle Inform ation  Center (EVIC) displays  the  follow ing
messages.
