Coolan t  Checks
Coolin g  System  — Drain ,  Flush  and  Refill
Coolant   protection    checks   shou ld  be  made   every   12
months   (prior  to  the  onset   of  freezing  weather,   where
applicable).  If coolant  is dirty  or  rusty in  appearance,   the
system  shou ld be drained  , flushed  and refilled  with  fresh
coolant.  Check  the  front  of  the  A/ C  cond enser  for any
accumulation   of bugs,  leaves, etc. If dirty,  clean by  gently
spraying   water  from  a gard en  hose  vertically  down   the
face of  the cond enser.
At  the  intervals  show n  in  the  approp riate  maintenance
sched ule,  the   system  shou ld   be  drained ,  flushed   and
refilled .
If the solu tion  is dirty  or contains  a consid erable  amount
of  sed iment,   clean  and   flush   with   a  reliable   cooling
system  cleaner. Follow  with a thorou  gh rinsing  to rem ove
all  deposits    and   chem icals.   Prop erly  dispose    of  old
antifreeze  solu tion.
Check  the cooling  system  hoses  for  brittle  rubber,  crack-
ing,  tears,   cuts  and  tightness    of the   connection   at  the
bottle  and  rad iator. Insp ect the  entire  system  for  leaks.

to Recom mend ed  Fluids,  Lubricants   and  Genu ine  Parts  7
for correct  coolant  typ e.
