seatbackisreclined.Thiscanbedanger-
ous. The shoulder belt will not be
against your body. In an accident, you
couldbethrownintoitandreceiveneck
orotherseriousinjuries.Youcouldalso
slideunderthelapbeltandreceivese-
riousinternalinjuries.
To unlock, insert the master key or the
mechanical key (Intelligent Key
equipped model) to the key cylinder
on the lid and turn itcounterclockwise
kA . Turning the key clockwise k will

lock the lid.

Pull out the trunk access window lid

Remove the key when opening or closing
the trunk access window lid. Otherwise,
the trunk access window lid may be dam-
aged.

For the most effective protection when

beupright. Always sit well back in the
seat and adjust the seat belt properly.
