Apply parking brake. Move the shift
lever to the N (Neutral) position (On
automatic transmission models, move
the selector lever to the P (Park) posi-
tion). Switch off all unnecessary elec-
trical systems (light, heater, air condi-
tioner, etc.).

equipped). Cover the battery with an
old cloth to reduce explosion hazard.
