ortheIgnitionSwitch. PowerDistributionshows
thewiringfromtheBatterytotheFuseBoxes,the

ashortcircuitthatcausesafusetoblow. These
diagramsalsoaidintroubleshootingan
inoperativecircuitbyshowingasecondcircuit
usingthesamefuse. Ifthesecondcircuitworks,
thenthefuseandcertainwiresoftheinoperative
circuitaregood.
GroundDistribution
TheGroundDistributiondiagramsarefoundin
SectionY5. Thesediagramsshowwhich
componentsshareeachgroundpoint. This
informationcanoftenbeatime-saverwhen
troubleshootingapoorground.
Forexample,iftheFuelPumpdoesnotrun,you
maysuspectanopeninitscircuittoground.
However,iftheNumberPlateLampswork,and
theysharethesamegroundpointastheFuel
Pump,youknowthatthegroundandthewireup
tothecommonsplicearegood. Youhavelearned
thisjustbyinspectingthediagramandknowing
thevehicle'ssymptoms.
