VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN)
Identification Numbers
If you need to communicate with a Land Rover
dealer, you may be asked to quote the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN).
The VIN (and recommended maximum vehicle
weights) is stamped on a plate riveted to the top
of the radiator grille panel in the engine
compartment (this should match the VIN
recorded in the Service Portfolio book).
In addition, as a deterrent to car thieves and to
assist the police, the VIN is stamped on a plate
which is visible through the lowest part of the
left side of the windscreen and also on the
vehicle's chassis.
