electronicday/nightmirrorwill
changefromthenormalstatetothe
OFF
AUTO
non-glarestatewhenbrightlights
(glare)reachthemirror.Whenthemirrordetectsbrightlightfromfront
orbehind,itwillautomaticallyadjust(darken)tominimizeglare.
Donotblockthesensoronthebacksideofthemirrorsincethismay
impairpropermirrorperformance.
PressthecontroltoturnthemirrorOFForAUTO.
Themirrorwillautomaticallyreturntothenormalstatewheneverthe
vehicleisplacedinR(Reverse)(whenthemirrorison)toensurea
brightclearviewwhenbackingup.
Electronic compass (if equipped)
Thecompassreadingwillremainaccurateduringmostdriving
conditions.Unknowntothedriver,thecompassiscontinuously
recalibratingduetomagneticfieldsandsubtle,slowchangesinvehicle
magneticswhichcanoccuroverthelifeofthevehicle.
Thecompassreadingwillremainfixedwhensignificantchangesinthe
localmagneticfieldareexperienced(suchassteelbridges).The
compasswillreturntonormaloperationuponleavingthemagnetized
area.
