Do not allow the jumper cable clips to
touch one another.
1.
Before replacing a fuse, be sure to turn off
the electrical item concerned.
To prevent damage to the electrical system due
to short-circuiting or overloading, each individ-
ual current circuit is provided with a fuse.
The fuse housing is located under the dash-
board on the driver's side.
(
2) Do not connect the jumper cable to the
negative terminal of the flat battery.
The battery generates explosive gas, and
a spark caused when the jumper cable is
disconnected from the negative terminal
could ignite this gas and cause an explo-
sion.
2.
3.
Remove the fuse housing cover.
Referring to the fuse load capacity table,
check the fuse pertaining to the problem.
If the fuse is blown, pull it straight out. If it is
not blown, something else must be causing
the problem; contact an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer to have the problem
checked.

securely into the clip.
8.
9.
Start engine as described in "Starting the
engine".
After the engine is started, disconnect the

CAUTION:
Spare fuses are contained in the fuse housing.
Always use a fuse of the same capacity for

after a short time, the cause should be
diagnosed and corrected by an autho-
rized HYUNDAI dealer.
