The hazard warning system should be used
wheneveryoufinditnecessarytostopthecarin
a hazardous location. When you must make
suchanemergencystop,alwayspullofftheroad
as far as possible.
The hazard warning lights are turned on by
pushinginthehazardswitch.Thiscausesallturn
signal lights to blink. The hazard warning lights
will operate even though the key is not in the
ignition.
There are three control buttons for the digital
clock. Their functions are:
The rear window defroster and heated outsides
rearviewmirrorsareturnedonbypushinginthe
switch.Toturnthedefrosteroff,pushtheswitch
asecondtime. Therearwindowdefrosterauto-
matically turns itself off after about 15 minutes.
Torestartthedefrostercycle,pushintheswitch
again after it has turned itself off.
HOUR-Push"H"toadvancethehourindicated.
MIN-Push"M"toadvancetheminuteindicated.
RESET - Push "R" to reset minutes to ":00" to
facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time.
When this is done:
CAUTION:
Pressing"R"between10:30and11:29changes
the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11
: 30 and 12 : 29 changes the readout to 12 : 00.
To turn the hazard warning lights off, push the
switch a second time.
Donotcleantheinnersideoftherearwindow
glass with an abrasive type of glass cleaner
or use a scraper to remove foreign deposits
from the inner surface of the glass as this
maycausedamagetothedefrosterelements.
NOTE:
Theignitionmustbeinthe"ON"positionfor
the rear window defroster to operate.
