parkingbrakeandactivatethe
hazardflashers.

PlacethegearshiftleverinP(Park)(automatictransmission)orR
(Reverse)(manualtransmission)andturntheengineoff.
Tirechangeprocedure
WARNING:Whenoneofthefrontwheelsisofftheground,the
transmissionalonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingor
slippingoffthejack,evenifthevehicleisinP(Park)(automatic
transmission)orR(Reverse)(manualtransmission).
WARNING:Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyou
changeatire,besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(in
bothdirections)thewheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideand
endofthevehicle)tothetirebeingchanged.
WARNING:Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelse
couldbeseriouslyinjured.
