SecuriLock™passiveanti-theftsystemisanengineimmobilization
system.Thissystemisdesignedtohelppreventtheenginefrombeing
startedunlessacodedkeyprogrammedtoyourvehicleisused.The
useofthewrongtypeofcodedkeymayleadtoa“no-start”condition.
Yourvehiclecomeswithtwocodedkeys;additionalcodedkeysmaybe
purchasedfromyourauthorizeddealer.Theauthorizeddealercan
programyoursparekeystoyourvehicleoryoucanprogramthekeys
yourself.RefertoProgrammingsparekeysforinstructionsonhowto
programthecodedkey.

non-Fordaftermarketremotestartsystems.Useofthesesystemsmay
resultinvehiclestartingproblemsandalossofsecurityprotection.
Note:Largemetallicobjects,electronicdevicesthatareusedto
purchasegasolineorsimilaritems,orasecondcodedkeyonthesame
keychainmaycausevehiclestartingissues.Youneedtopreventthese
objectsfromtouchingthecodedkeywhilestartingtheengine.These
objectswillnotcausedamagetothecodedkey,butmaycausea
momentaryissueiftheyaretooclosetothekeywhenstartingthe
engine.Ifaproblemoccurs,turntheignitionoff,removeallobjectson
thekeychainawayfromthecodedkeyandrestarttheengine.
Note:Donotleaveaduplicatecodedkeyinthevehicle.Always
takeyourkeysandlockalldoorswhenleavingthevehicle.
Anti-theft indicator
Theanti-theftindicatorislocatedintheinstrumentcluster.

onceeverytwosecondsto
indicatetheSecuriLock™system
isfunctioningasatheft
deterrent.

Whentheignitionisintheonposition,theindicatorwillglowfor
threeseconds,thenturnoff,toindicatenormalsystemfunctionality.
