frontwheelsfromrotating.

AlwayssettheshiftlevertoPandset

OnlysettingtheshiftlevertotheP
positionwithoutusingtheparking
braketoholdthevehicleis
dangerous.IfPfailstohold,the
vehiclecouldmoveandcausean
accident.
DonotshiftintoNwhendrivingthe
vehicle:
ShiftingintoNwhiledrivingis
dangerous.Enginebrakingcannotbe
appliedwhendeceleratingwhich
couldleadtoanaccidentorserious
injury.

beforeshiftingtoorfromR,exceptunder
rarecircumstancesasexplainedin

D(Drive)
Disthenormaldrivingposition.Froma
stop,thetransaxlewillautomaticallyshift
througha5-gearsequence.
M(Manual)
N(Neutral)
Misthemanualshiftmodeposition.
Gearscanbeshiftedupordownby
operatingtheshiftlever.
InN,thewheelsandtransaxlearenot
locked.Thevehiclewillrollfreelyeven
ontheslightestinclineunlesstheparking
brakeorbrakesareon.
