Toretractthekey,rotateitintotheholder
whilepressingthereleasebutton.
NOTE
Thekeylessentrysystemisdesignedto

operateuptoabout2.5m(8ft)fromthe
centerofthevehicle,butthismayvarydue
tolocalconditions.
Thesystemdoesnotoperatewhenthekeyis

intheignitionswitch.
Doorsandtheliftgatecanbelockedby
l
pressingthelockbuttonwhileanyother
doorortheliftgateisopen.However,the
hazardwarninglightswillnotflashandthe
hornwillnotsound.
Ifthetransmitterdoesnotoperatewhen
l
pressingabuttonortheoperationrange
becomestoosmall,thebatterymaybe
dead.Toinstallanewbattery,referto
Maintenance(page3-5).
Additionaltransmitterscanbeobtainedat
l
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer.Upto3
transmitterscanbeusedwiththekeyless
entrysystempervehicle.Bringall
transmitterstoanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerwhenadditionaltransmittersare
required.
