Thisfunctionisautomaticandindicatesthe
averagefuelconsumptionsincethelasttime
thetripcomputerwasreset(averagefuel
consumptioniscalculatedbydividingthe
distancetravelledbytheamountoffuelused).
Thisfunctionrecordsthedistanceoverwhich
theaveragefuelconsumptionandspeedhave
beencalculated,andwillalwaysbethe
distancethevehiclehastravelledsincethe
computerwaslastreset.Themessagecentre
displays’TRIP2---’.
Whilethesystemiscalculatingtheaverage
fuelconsumption,thedisplayshows
Tripdistanceone
’COMPUTINGMPG’.Oncethefuel
Thisisastandardtriprecorderofthetype
fittedtomostmotorvehiclesandrecordsthe
distancetravelledsincetheresetbutton(on
therightoftheinstrumentpack)waslast
pressed.Presstheresetbuttontozerothetrip
recorder.Ifthemessagedisplayshowsan
internalortripcomputermessage,itcanbe
changedtodisplaytheTripDistanceOne
functionbyoperatingthetriprecorderreset
button-themessagecentredisplaysthe
distanceonly(without’TRIP1---’).
consumptionvalueiscalculated,’AVERAGE
MPG’willbedisplayed,anda3digitfuel
consumptionvalue(shownintens,unitsand
tenthsofagallon)alsoappearsinthedisplay.
NOTE:Thedisplayedvaluewillnotchangeat
arategreaterthan0.1litres/100kmper6
seconds,andwillbebetween0and99.9
litres/100km.
Averagespeed
Thisfunctionisautomaticandindicatesthe
averagespeedsincethelasttimethetrip
computerwasreset(averagespeedis
calculatedbydividingtheactualdistance
travelledbytheaccumulatedtimeinwhichthe
starterswitchhasbeenturnedon).
Whilethesystemiscalculatingtheaverage
speed,thedisplaywillshow’COMPUTING
MPH’.Oncethecalculationhasbeenmade,
thedisplaychangesto’AVG.SPEED’followed
by3digitsindicatingtheaveragespeedin
hundreds,tensandunits.
NOTE:TheAverageSpeeddisplaywillchange
atamaximumrateof4km/hper2seconds.
