SUPERLOCKING
Ifthevehicleis’superlocked’(witheitherthe
handset,orthekey),thedoorsCANNOTbe
unlockedoropenedfrominsidethevehicle.
ForthisreasonDONOTsuperlockthevehicle
withpassengersinside.
Anti-theftalarmindicatorlight
Afterlockingthevehicle,theREDindicator
light(arrowedinillustration)flashesrapidly
fortensecondstoconfirmthatthesecurity
systemhasbeensuccessfullyarmed.Afterten
seconds,theindicatorlightadjuststoaslower
frequency,andthencontinuestoflashasan
anti-theftdeterrentuntilsuchtimeasthe
securitysystemisdisarmed.
’Superlocking’usingthehandset:
If,whileoperatingthehandset(orkey),the
alarmsounds,thisindicatesthatoneofthe
doors,thebonnetorthetailgateisnot
Pressandreleasethe’lock’button(1)onthe

handsettwice(within1/2seconds).After15
secondsyouwillhear’superlocking’engage.
properlyclosed(themessagecentredisplay
willconfirmwhichapertureisnotsecure).
Ifanydoor,thebonnetortailgateisleftopen,
amislockwilloccur(see’Mislock’).
Althoughthehandsetcanbesuccessfully
operatedfromasignificantdistancefromthe
vehicle,whenlockingitiswisetobeclose
enoughtovisuallyconfirmthatthedoor
lockingbuttonshavedroppedintoplaceand
thattheindicatorlightconfirmsasuccessful
lock.
Ifawindoworsunroofisopen,superlocking
willengageimmediately,howevervolumetric
protectionwillnotbeactivated.
Tounlock:
Pressandreleasethe’unlock’button(2)on
thehandsetonce.
Ifthehandsetisinoperative,thevehiclecan
beunlockedbyusingtheemergencykey
accesscode(see’Emergencykeyaccess’).
NOTE:Occasionalatmosphericconditions
cansignificantlyreducetheeffectiverangeof
handsetoperation.Ifthisoccurs,operatethe
handsetclosertothevehicle.Inextreme
cases,itmaybenecessarytotouchthe
handsetagainsttheradioaerial’fired’onto
oneoftherearsidewindows.
