investigatedandcorrected

Coldclimates
Inverycoldclimatesthebatterychargingand
oilpressurewarninglightsmaytakeseveral
secondstoextinguish.Similarly,engine
crankingtimeswillalsoincrease;at-30°Cthe
startermotormayneedtobeoperated
continuouslyforaslongas30secondsbefore
theenginewillstart.Forthisreasonensure
thatallnon-essentialelectricalequipmentis
switchedoff.
Switchingoff
Toavoidthepossibilityofdamagingthe
turbo-chargerbearingsthroughinadequate
lubrication,ALWAYSallowtheenginetoidle
for10secondsbeforeswitchingoff.Turnthe
engineoffbyreturningthestarterswitchto
position’I’andthenposition’0’toremove
key.
Warming-up
Intheinterestsoffueleconomy,itisadvisable
tostartdrivingstraightaway,remembering
thatharshaccelerationorlabouringtheengine
beforethenormaloperatingtemperaturehas
beenreachedcandamagetheengine.
WARNING
Theenginemustnotberunabovefastidle
speeduntiltheoilpressurewarninglight
extinguishes.Thiswillensurethatthe
engineandturbochargerbearingsare
properlylubricatedbeforebeingrunat
normaldrivingspeeds.
