frominflatingairbagsthantalleroccupants
(see’AirbagSRS’).Forthisreason,itis
recommendedthatchildrenshouldalwaysbe
seatedintherearofthevehicleinachild
safetyseatorrestraintsystemappropriateto
theirageandsize.Arangeofsafetyseats
approvedforuseinyourvehicleisavailable
fromyourLandRoverdealer.
Infantsandchildrenshouldberestrainedin
therearofthevehicleinachildsafetyseat
orrestraintsystemappropriatetotheirage
and/orsize,andwhichisapprovedforuse
inyourvehicle.Alwaysensurethatthe
manufacturer’sfittinginstructionsare
followedexactly.
Accidentstatisticsshowthatchildrenare
saferwhenproperlyrestrainedintherear
seatingpositionsthaninthefront.However,
ifitisessentialthatachildtravelinthe
front,settheseatfullyrearwardandseat
thechildinanapproved,FORWARDFACING
childseat.DONOTusearearfacingchild
seat-aninflatingairbagcouldimpactwith
thechildseatandcauseseriousinjuryto
thechild.
Allinfantandchildrestraintsystemsare
designedtobesecuredinvehicleseatsby
meansofalapbeltorthelapportionofa
lap/shoulderbelt.
Wheninstallingandusinganyinfantorchild
restraintsystem,alwaysfollowthe
manufacturer’sinstructions.Failureto
properlysecurethechildrestraintsystemcan
endangerthechildinacollisionorsudden
stopandcauseinjurytootherpassengers.
Thecentrerearseatingpositionisfittedwitha
lapbeltwhichcanbemanuallytightenedto
secureaninfantorchildrestraintsystem.
Olderchildrenshouldusethelap/shoulder
beltfittedtotheouterrearseatingpositions.
Theabovesymbolaffixedtothefasciapanel
ofyourvehicle,warnsagainsttheuseofa
REARFACINGchildseatinthefront
passengerseat.Thistypeofchildseatcould
causeseriousinjurytoyourchildintheevent
ofanairbagdeployment.
