conditions.
Engine cooling system
NOTE: Recommended oils are complete in
themselves and additives should not be used.
Use Castrol Anti-freeze NF, Texaco AFC or
service part number LRN6024. Use one part
anti-freeze to one part water for protection
down to -36° C.
NOTE: It is essential to change oil much more
frequently if the vehicle is operated under
severe conditions, especially if deep wading is
carried out.
Inertia reel seat belts
DO NOT LUBRICATE. These components are
lubricated for life during manufacture.
Engine oil
Use a 0W/30, 0W/40, 5W/30 or 5W/40 oil
meeting API service level SJ/CD, EC11 and
having a viscosity band recommended for the
temperature range of your locality.
NOTE: Use only synthetic oils.
Engine oil temperature ranges
0W/30 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 95ºF
(35ºC).
0W/40 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 122ºF
(50ºC).
5W/30 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 95ºF
(35ºC).
5W/40 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 122ºF
(50ºC).
Main gearbox
Filled for life. Esso LT71141.
Power steering
Texaco Cold Climate PAS fluid 14315 or service
part number LRN2261 - ACE/PAS fluid.
Brake reservoir
Any brake fluid having a minimum boiling point
of 500ºF (260°C) and complying with FMVSS
116
DOT4.
