Theairbagsaremountedinthefollowinglocations:thecenterofthesteeringwheel,the
passenger-sideofthedashboard,intheoutboardsidesofthefrontseatbacksandthefront
andrearwindowpillars,alongtheroofedge.Theyareoutofsightuntilactivated.

Thebuckleswitchesonthefrontseatbeltsdeterminewhetherornotthefrontseatbelts
aresecurelyfastenedandfurthercontrolthedeploymentoftheairbagsonthefront
seats.
Thefront,dualstageairbagscontrolairbaginflationintwoenergystages.Duringan
impactofmoderateseveritythefrontairbagsdeploywithlesserenergy,whereas
duringmoresevereimpacts,theydeploywithmoreenergy.
Deploymentofthefrontairbagsmaydifferbetweenthedriverandthefrontpassenger
dependingonthedriver'sseatpositionandfrontseatbeltusage,whichallowforfurther
controllingofthesystem.
