Removethekeyfromtheignition
switch.
Theoptionaltheft-deterrentsystemis
designedtopreventyourvehicleorits
contentsfrombeingstolenwhenallthe
doors,hood,andtrunklidarelocked.
2. Closethehood.Thencloseandlockall
doorsandthetrunklidfromtheoutside
usingthekeyorpresstheLOCK
buttononyourkeylessentrysystem
transmitter.Thehazardwarninglights
willflashoncetoindicatethatthe
systemisarmed.
Ifforcibleentryisattempted,thesystem
soundsthehornandflashesthehazard
warninglights.
NOTE
Thefollowingmethodwillalsoarmthe
theft-deterrentsystem:
Closethehoodandthetrunklid.Press
theareaonthedoor-lockswitch
marked“LOCK”once.Closealldoors.
Thetheft-deterrentsystemoperates
l
withthekeyorthekeylessentry
systemtransmitter.
Thesystemwillnotfunctionunless
l
itisproperlyarmed.Toproperly
securethevehicle,alwaysmakesure
allthewindowsarecompletely
closedandalldoorsandthetrunklid
arelockedbeforeleavingthevehicle.
Remembertotakeyourkeyand
transmitter.
NOTE
Lockingthedoorswiththeinsidedoor-
lockknobwillnotarmthesystem.

Anarmedsystemcanbeturnedoffbyany
oneofthefollowingmethods:

Unlockadoorwiththekey.

Systemtriggeringconditions
PresstheUNLOCKbuttononthe
keylessentrysystemtransmitter.
Thehornsoundsintermittentlyandthe
hazardwarninglightsflashforabout3
minuteswhenthesystemistriggeredby
anyoneofthefollowing:

Insertthekeyintotheignitionswitch
andturnittotheONposition.
l
Forcingopenadoor,thehoodorthe
trunklid.
l
Thehazardwarninglightswillflashtwice
toindicatethatthesystemisturnedoff.
Openingadoor,thehoodorthetrunk
l
lidbyoperatinganinsidedoor-lock
knob,thehoodreleasehandleorthe
trunklidreleasebutton.
NOTE
Thetrunklidcanbeopenedwiththe
keyorthetransmitterevenwhenthe
systemisarmed.Thealarmwillnot
comeonandthesystemwillremain
armed.
Ifthesystemistriggeredagain,thelights
andhornwillactivateuntiladooris
unlockedorthetrunklidisopenedwith
thekeyorwiththetransmitter.
