AIRBAG SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)
Theairbagsupplementalrestraintsystemisdesignedtoworkin
conjunctionwiththeseatbeltstohelpprotectthedriverandfront
outboardpassengerfromcertainupperbodyinjuries.Theterm
“supplementalrestraint”meanstheairbagsareintendedasasupplement
totheseatbelts.Airbagsalonecannotprotectaswellasairbagsplus
seatbeltsinimpactsforwhichtheairbagsaredesignedtodeploy,and
airbagsdonotofferanyprotectionincrashesforwhichtheydonot
deploy.
Theairbagsupplementalrestraintsystemconsistsof:

inflatorsandairbags).

SafetySystem.Theyaredesignedtobedeployedincaseswherethe
PersonalSafetySystemhasdeterminedtheoccupantconditionsand
