Followthesemanufacturer'sinstructions
wheninstallingachild-restraintsystemon
thepassenger'sseat,unlessyouare
attachingaLATCH-equippedchild-
restraintsystemtotheLATCHlower

Makesuretoremovearticlesfrom
behindthepassengerseatthatwould
preventtheseatfromslidingbackfully,
andthenslidetheseatasfarbackas
possible.
NOTE
Followthechild-restraintsystem
manufacturer'sinstructionscarefully.Ifyou
arenotsurewhetheryouhaveaLATCH
system,checkinthechild-restraintsystem
manufacturer'sinstructionsandfollowthem
accordingly.Dependingonthetypeofchild-
restraintsystem,itmaynotemployseatbelts
whichareinautomaticlockingmode,however
ifitusesanuppertether,itmaynotbe
mountedproperlyinthisvehicleasthereisno
safewaytoanchorthetether.Confirmwhether
thechild-restraintsystemcanbeusedwithseat
beltsbyreadingthechild-restraintsystem
manufacturer'sinstructions.
2. Securethechild-restraintsystemwith
thelapportionofthelap/shoulderbelt.
Seetheinstructionsonthechild-
restraintsystemforbeltrouting
instructions.

Togettheretractorintotheautomatic
lockingmode,pulltheshoulderbelt
portionoftheseatbeltuntiltheentire
lengthofthebeltisoutoftheretractor.
