Beforeinstallingthebatterycover,make
surebothofthecablesconnectingthe
negativebatteryterminal(rightsideof
battery)areconnectedwiththecables
routedtowardtherightandbackofthe
batteryasshowninthefigure.
Keepterminalsandconnectionsclean,
tight,andcoatedwithpetroleumjelly
orterminalgrease.
Rinseoffspilledelectrolyte
immediatelywithasolutionofwater
andbakingsoda.

Ifthevehiclewillnotbeusedforan

extendedtime,disconnectthebattery
cables.
