2014 Tesla Model S Quick Guide For Owners

The top line displays status symbols and
provides shortcuts to Charging, HomeLink,
Driver Profiles, vehicle information (the
Tesla “T”), and Bluetooth.
OVERVIEW
When set to Auto, the touchscreen
Choose the app(s) you want to display in the
main viewing area:
automatically changes between Day and
Night brightness depending on the ambient
lighting conditions. To manually control this
feature, touch CONTROLS > DISPLAYS.
Tap the app’s icon to display it in the top
viewing area. If the app is already displayed,
a second tap switches it to full-screen view
(note that only some apps have a full-screen
mode).
Drag the app’s icon directly onto the top or
bottom viewing area.
Touch and hold the app’s icon to display
a popup that lets you choose whether to
display the app in the top or bottom of the
main viewing area.
The MAIN VIEWING AREA changes depending on the
app you’ve chosen (in this example, the Nav and Media
Player apps are displayed). When using some apps (such
as Nav and Web), you can zoom in and out by pinching
and expanding your index finger and thumb on the screen.
Touch the small rectangle
to expand the window to fill
the entire main viewing area.
Touch again to display both
windows.
Touch to REVERSE the
position of the top and
bottom windows.
Touch CONTROLS to access all Model S
controls and settings (doors, locks, lights,
etc). See the next two pages.
