serviceor,ifyouareamember,yourroadsideassistancecenter.
Itisrecommendedthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheelliftorflatbed
equipment.Donottowwithaslingbelt.FordMotorCompanyhasnot
approvedaslingbelttowingprocedure.
Ifyourvehicleistobetowedfromtherearusingwheelliftequipment,
thefrontwheels(drivewheels)mustbeplacedonadollytoprevent
damagetothetransmission.
Ifthevehicleistowedbyothermeansorincorrectly,vehicle
damagemayoccur.
FordMotorCompanyprovidesatowingmanualforallauthorizedtow
truckoperators.Haveyourtowtruckoperatorrefertothismanualfor
properhook-upandtowingproceduresforyourvehicle.
TOWING BEHIND ANOTHER VEHICLE
Ifyourvehiclehasanautomatictransaxle,itcannotbeflat-towedwith
allwheelsontheground;frontwheeldolliesmustbeused.
Ifyourvehiclehasanmanualtransaxle,yourvehiclecanbeflat-towed
withallwheelsontheground.
