Theparkingbrakeisnotrecommendedtostopamovingvehicle.
However,ifthenormalbrakesfail,theparkingbrakecanbeusedtostop
yourvehicleinanemergency.Sincetheparkingbrakeappliesonlythe
rearbrakes,thevehicle’sstoppingdistancewillincreasegreatlyandthe
handlingofyourvehiclewillbeadverselyaffected.
Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesurethatthe
gearshiftissecurelylatchedinP(Park)(automatictransaxle)or
in1(First)(manualtransaxle).
Pushthebuttonontheendofthe
parkingbrakeandpushthehandle
downasfaraspossibletorelease
thebrake.Drivingwiththeparking
brakeonwillcausethebrakesto
wearoutquicklyandreducefuel
economy.

fromtheenginetohelpsteerthevehicle.
Topreventdamagetothepowersteeringpump:

Neverholdthesteeringwheeltotheextremerightortheextremeleft

Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel.

off),youcansteerthevehiclemanually,butittakesmoreeffort.
