Using the clutch
Vehiclesequippedwithamanualtransaxlehaveastarterinterrupt
interlockthatpreventscrankingoftheengineunlesstheclutchpedalis
depressed.
Whenstartingavehiclewithamanualtransaxle,youmust:

Putthegearshiftleverinthe
neutralposition.

forafewseconds.

acceleratorpedal.

Donotdrivewithyourfootresting
ontheclutchpedalanddonotuse

theclutchpedaltoholdyourvehicleatastandstillwhilewaitingona
hill.Theseactionswillseriouslyreduceclutchlife.
