THEFT-ALARM SYSTEM
have left the car. If the system is armed
while a passenger(s) remains In the car, the
alarm may be activated when the remainlng
passenger(s) leaves the car.
CAUTION:
Avoid trylng to start the engine while the
system is armed.
This system is designed to provide protection
from unauthorized entry into the car. This sys-
tem is operated in three stages: the first is the
"Armed"stage,thesecond isthe"Alamn"stage,
and the third is the "Disarmed" stage. If trig-
gered, the system provides an audible alarm
siren with blinking of the tum signal lamp.

Armed Stage
Park the car and stop the engine. Arm the
system as described below.

Remove the ignition key from the ignition
switch.
Make sure thatthe engine hood and trunk lid
are locked.
Lock the doors using the transmitter of the
keyless entry system.

PANIC (If installed)
The system will be disarmed when the following
step is taken:
The alarm will be activated if any ofthe follow-
ing occurs while the car is parked and the
system is armed.
After completion of the steps above, the tum
signal lamp will blink once to indicate that the
system is armed.
The driver's orpassenger's dooris unlocked by
depressing the "UNLOCK" button on thetrans-
mitter or the ignition key.
1) A front or reardoor is opened without using
the transmitter or the ignition key.
NOTE:

The trunk lid is opened without using the
ignition key.
After completion of the steps above, the tum
signal lamp will blink twice to indicate that the
system is disarmed.
If any door, trunk lid or engine hood
remains open, the system will not be
armed.

The engine hood is opened.

If this happens, rearm the system as
described above.
The siren will sound and the tum signal lamp
will blink continuously for 30 seconds. (E.C
only/Except E.C : 3 times). To tum off the
system, unlock the door with the transmitter or
the ignition key.
NOTE:
Once the system has been disarmed, it can
not be rearmed except by repeatlng the
arming procedures.
CAUTION:
Do not arm the system untll all passengers
