FEATURES OF YOUR HYUNDAI
To operate the headlights, tum the barrel on the
end of the multi-function switch. The first posi-
tion tums on the parking lights, sidelights, tail
lights and instrument panel lights. The second
position tums on the headlights.

Headlight Flasher
The windshield wiper switch has three posi-
tions:

NOTE:
Daytime Running Lights (If installed)
Your Hyundai is equipped with daytime running
lights. The daytime running lights are used to
improve visibility for oncoming traffic. Your ve-
hicle daytime running lights are designed to
remain on continuously when the engine is
operating even though the headlightswitch is in
the "OFF" position. However, the daytime run-
ning lights will be off while the parking brake is
applied.
To prevent damage to the wiper systetn, do
notattempttowipe away heavy accumula-
tionsofsnoworice.Accumulatedsnowand
iceshould be removed manually. Ifthere is
onlya llght layer of snow or Ice, operatethe
heaterInthedefrostmodetomeltthesnow
or ice before uslng the wiper.
To flash the headlights, pull the switch lever
toward you, then release it. The headlights can
be flashed even though the headlightswitch is
in the "OFF" position.

High-Beam Switch
SWITCH
To turn on the headlight high beams, push the
leverforward (awayfrom you).TheHighBeam
Indicator Light will come on at the same time.
For low beams, pull the lever back toward you.
To use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/
washer levertoward the steering wheel.
If your vehicle is equipped with the intermittent
feature, the washer fluid is sprayed onto the
