o If a person is locked in the trunk, he tnay
pull the red painted lever on the inside
latch cover. This will open the trunk lid.
o We're recommending that cars be kept
locked and keys be kept out of the reach
of chlldrcn, and that parents teach their
children about the dangers of playing in
trunks.
The tail gate or trunk lid should always be
kept completely closed whlle the vehlcle Is
in motlon. If it is left open or a]ar, exhaust
gases may enter the ear and serlous illness
may result.

The fuel-filler lid may be opened from inside the
vehicle by pulling up on the fuel-filler lid opener
located on the f ront floor area on the left side of
the car.
NOTE:
If the fuel-filler lid wlll not open because lce
has formed around it, tap llghtly or push on
the lid tarbreak the ice and release the lid.
Do not pry on the lid. If necessary, spray
around the lid with an approved de-lcer fluid
(do not use radlator anti-freeze) or move the
vehlcle to a warm place and allow the ice to
melt.
In addition to the lower-mounted rear stop lights
on either side of the car, the high mounted rear
stop light in the center of the rear window also
comes on when the brakes are applied.
The tail gate or trunk lid is opened by pulling the
lever to release the lock, then raising the door
or lid manually.
To close, lower the door or lid, then press down
on it until it locks. To be sure the door or lid is
securely fastened, always try to pull it up again.
