Your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with driver's
and front Passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts.
The purpose  of the  pre-tensioner is to  make
sure that  the seat  belts fit tightly  against the
occupant's  body in  certain  frontal  collisions.
The pre-tensioner seat belts can be  activated
alone or,  where the  frontal collision  is severe
enough, together with the airbags.
Ordinarily the pre-tensioner seat belt operates
in the same way as E.L.R (Emergency Locking
Retractor)type(Whenvehiclesstopsudden-
ly, the belt will lock into the position. It will
also  lock If  you try  to  lean  forward too
qulckly.). However, when vehicles crash, the
retractor rewinds  the belt  webbing. This  will
restrain the passenger movement quickly and
also reduce the slack between passenger and
beltwebbing.
