This lamp illuminates when there is a
malfunction of an exhaust gas related
component, and the system is not
functioning properly so that the ex-
haust gas regulation values are not
satisfied. This lamp will also illuminate
when the ignition key is turned to the
"ON" position, and will go out after
engine starting. If it illuminates while
driving, or does not illuminate when
the ignition key is turned to the "ON"
position, take your car to your nearest
Hyundai authorised repairer and have
the system checked.
The cruise indicator light in the instru-
ment cluster is illuminated when the
cruise control main switch on the end
of the barrel is pushed.
The indicator light does not illuminate
when the cruise control main switch is
pushed a second time.
The electronic stability program indi-
cators change operation according to
theignitionswitchpositionandwhether
the system is in operation or not.
They will illuminate when the ignition
key is turned to the "ON" position, but
should go out after three seconds. If
the ESP or ESP-OFF indicator stays
on, take your car to your Hyundai
authorised repairer and have the sys-
tem checked. See section 2 for more
information about the ESP.

cluster is illuminated when the cruise
control switch is pushed downward to
"SET (COAST)".

Seat Belt Warning Light
This indicator light comes on for some
seconds after the ignition key is turned
to the "ON" position. At this time, you
canstarttheengine.Thelightgoesout
after the engine is running. In case this
light goes out before you start the
engine, you must turn to the "LOCK"
positionandrestarttheengine.Incase
The set indicator light does not illumi-
nate when the control switch is in the
"CANCEL" position.
The seat belt warning light blinks for
about 6 seconds when the ignition key
is turned from the "OFF" position to
"ON" or "START".
