flooded(excessivefuelintheengine).
Thebatteryisinthetrunk.
Jump-startingisdangerousifdone
incorrectly.Sofollowtheprocedure
carefully.Ifyoufeelunsureaboutjump-
starting,westronglyrecommendthatyou
haveacompetentservicetechniciando
thework.
Followthisprocedure:

Depresstheacceleratorallthewayand
holditthere.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheSTART
positionandholditthere―forupto10
seconds.Iftheenginestarts,releasethe
keyandacceleratorimmediately
becausetheenginewillsuddenlyrev
up.
WARNING
Battery-RelatedExplosion:
Flamesandsparksnearopenbattery
cellsaredangerous.Hydrogengas,
producedduringnormalbattery
operation,couldigniteandcausethe
batterytoexplode.Anexploding
batterycancauseseriousburnsand
injuries.Keepallflames,including
cigarettes,andsparksawayfromopen
batterycells.

withoutdepressingtheaccelerator―for
upto10seconds.
FrozenBattery:
Jump-startingafrozenbatteryis
dangerous.Itmayruptureorexplode,
causingseriousinjury.
Don'tjump-startafrozenbattery.

candamagea12Vstarter,ignition
