Replaceanythatareswollenor
deteriorated.

Ahotengineisdangerous.Ifthe
enginehasbeenrunning,partsofthe
enginecompartmentcanbecomevery
hot.Youcouldbeburned.Carefully
inspecttheenginecoolantinthe
coolantreservoir,butdonotopenit.
Donotuseamatchorliveflameinthe
enginecompartment.DONOTADD
COOLANTWHENTHEENGINEIS
HOT.
Thecoolantshouldbeatfullinthe
radiatorandbetweentheFULLandLOW
marksonthecoolantreservoirwhenthe
engineiscool.
CoolingFanandEngine
Inspection:
Inspectingtheenginewiththeignition
switchintheONpositionis
dangerous.Thecoolingfancouldturn
onunexpectedlyevenwhentheengine
isn'trunning.Youcouldbeseriously
injuredbythefan.Turntheignition
switchoffandremovethekeyfromthe
ignitionswitchwhenyouinspectthe
engine.
Ifit'satornearLOW,addenoughcoolant
tothecoolantreservoirtoprovide
freezingandcorrosionprotectionandto
bringtheleveltoFULL.
CAUTION
CoolingSystemCap:
Whentheengineandradiatorarehot,
scaldingcoolantandsteammayshoot
outunderpressureandcauseserious
injury.Don'tremovethecooling
systemcapwhentheengineand
radiatorarehot.
Radiatorcoolantwilldamagepaint.
Rinseitoffquicklyifspilled.
Donotoverfill.
Ifnewcoolantisrequiredfrequently,
consultanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
