red mark on the switch is visible
and the character "LOCK" on the
switch is visible.
o The central door locking is oper-
atedbyturningthekey(withtheft-
alarm system: driver's door and
passenger's door, without theft-

toward the front or rear of the
vehicle.
o Ifthedoorislocked/unlockedmul-
tiple times in rapid succession
witheitherthevehiclekeyordoor
lock switch, the system may stop
operating temporarily in order to
protect the circuit and prevent
damagetosystemcomponents.

Armed Stage
NOTE:

If any door, hatchback door or
engine bonnet remains open, the
system will not be armed.

CAUTION:
Do not arm the system until all pas-
sengers have left the car. If the sys-
tem is armed while a passenger(s)
remainsinthecar,thealarmmaybe
activated when the remaining
passenger(s)leavesthecar.

Park the car and stop the engine. Arm
the system as described below.

ignition switch.
Make sure that the engine bonnet ,
doorsandhatchbackdoorareclosed.

of the keyless entry system.

ANTI-THEFT ALARM SYSTEM
(Not all models)
This system is designed to provide
protectionfromunauthorizedentryinto
the car. This system is operated in
three stages: the first is the "Armed"
stage,thesecondisthe"Alarm"stage,
andthethirdisthe"Disarmed"stage.If
triggered, the system provides an au-
dible alarm with blinking of the turn
signal lights.
After completion of the steps above,
the turn signal lights will blink once to
indicate that the system is armed.
