5. Openthebonnet.
Draw the vertical line (through the
center of each headlight beam pat-
tern)andthehorizontalline(through
the center of each headlight beam
pattern) on the aiming screen.

Before performing aiming adjustment,
make sure of the following.

Ifthefuelfilterwarninglampilluminates
during driving, it indicates that water
hasaccumulatedinthefuelfilter.Ifthis
occurs,removethewaterasdescribed.

Keep all tyres inflated to the correct
pressure.
Place the vehicle on level ground
andpressthefrontbumperandrear
bumper down several times. Place
the vehicle at a distance of 118 in.
And then, draw the horizontal paral-
lel line at 1.18 in. (30 mm ) under the
horizontalline.
NOTE:
It is recommended that water accu-
mulated in the fuel filter should be
removed by an authorised Hyundai
dealer.

7. Adjust each cut-off line of the low
beamtotheparallellinewithaphillips
screwdriver - VERTICAL AIMING.

See that the vehicle is unloaded
(except for full levels of coolant,
engine oil and fuel, and spare tyre,
jack, and tools).
Clean the head lights lens and turn
on the headlight (low beam).

Adjust each cut-off line of the low
beam to each vertical line with a
phillipsscrewdriver-HORIZONTAL
AIMING.
