Passenger's Front Airbag ON/
OFF Switch (If Installed)
To deactivate or reactivate the
passenger's front airbag
o The SRS can function only when
the ignition key is in the "ON"
position. If the SRS SRI does not
come on, or continuously re-
mains on, after flashing for about
To deactivate the passenger's front
airbag, insert the master key into the
passenger'sfrontairbagON/OFFswitch
on the right side of the crash pad and
turn it to the "OFF" position. The
passenger'sfrontairbagOFFindicator
will illuminate and stay on until the
passenger'sfrontairbagisreactivated.

is not working properly. If this
occurs, have your vehicle imme-
diately inspected by your
Hyundai dealer.
o Before you replace a fuse or dis-
connect a battery terminal, turn
the ignition key to the "LOCK"
position or remove the ignition
key. Never remove or replace the
air bag related fuse(s) when the
ignition key is in the "ON" posi-
tion. Failure to heed this warning
will cause the SRS SRI to illumi-
nate.

To reactivate the passenger's front
airbag, insert the master key into the
passenger'sfrontairbagON/OFFswitch
and turn it to the "ON" position. The
passenger'sfrontairbagOFFindicator
will go out.

The passenger's front airbag can be
deactivated by the passenger's front
airbag ON/OFF switch (1) if a child
restraint is installed on the front
passenger's seat or if the front
passenger's seat is unoccupied by a
person.
To ensure the safety of your child, the
passenger'sfrontairbagmustbedeac-
tivated when it should be necessary to
install a rearward facing child seat on
thefrontpassengerseatinexceptional
circumstances.
