The gear selector lever is locked again
when moving it to position P.
In case the central locking system does
not release the fuel filler flap, you can open
it manually.
In case of power failure, the gear selector
lever can be manually unlocked, e.g. to tow
the vehicle.

Release knob

Pin
Open the trunk.

Open the storage compartment in the
center armrest (୴ page 279).

Remove right-side tail trim.
̈
Turn release knob 1 clockwise (ar-
row).

Take out the cup holder (୴ page 279).
Insert a suitable object 1 (e.g. a pin)
through the hole and press the pin
downward.
The fuel filler flap can know be opened.

Remove pin 1.
