Performtirepressureadjustment
whenthetiresarecold.Tirepressure
willvaryaccordingtothetire
temperature.Whenpressureis
adjustedonhottirestothecold
inflationpressure,theTPMS
warninglight/beepmayturnonafter
thetirescoolandpressuredrops
belowspecification.

IgnoringtheWarningLight:
Ignoringthewarninglightis
dangerous,evenifyouknowwhyitis
illuminated.Havetheproblemtaken
careofassoonaspossiblebeforeit
developsintoamoreserioussituation
thatcouldleadtotirefailureanda
dangerousaccident.
Also,anilluminatedTPMSwarning
light,resultingfromthetireair
pressuredroppingduetocold
ambienttemperature,maygooutif
theambienttemperaturerises.Inthis
case,itwillalsobenecessaryto
adjustthetireairpressures.Ifthe
TPMSwarninglightilluminatesdue
toadropintireairpressure,make
suretocheckandadjustthetireair
pressures.
Warninglightilluminates/Warning
beepsounds
Whenthewarninglightilluminates,and
thewarningbeepsoundisheard(about3
seconds),tirepressureistoolowinoneor
moretires.
Adjustthetirepressuretothecorrecttire
pressureatanAuthorizedMazdaDealer
orthenearestservicestation.Refertothe
specificationcharts(page10-6).
Afteradjustingthetireairpressures,
itmayrequiresometimeforthe
TPMSwarninglighttogoout.Ifthe
TPMSwarninglightremains
illuminated,drivethevehicleata
speedofatleast25km/h(16mph)
for10minutes,andthenverifythatit
goesout.

CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdoneby
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer,orthetire
pressuresensorsmaybedamaged.
Ifthewarninglightilluminatesagaineven
afterthetirepressuresareadjusted,there
maybeatirepuncture.Replacethe
puncturedtirewiththetemporaryspare
tire(page7-6).
NOTE
Atirepressuresensorisnotinstalledto
thetemporarysparetire.Thewarning
lightwillflashcontinuouslywhilethe
temporarysparetireisbeingused.
