whiletheengineisrunningorhotis
dangerous.Thismightleadtocooling
systemandenginedamageandcould
resultinseriousinjuryfromescaping
hotcoolantorsteam.Turnoffthe
engineandwaituntilit'scool.Even
then,beverycarefulwhenremoving
thecap.Wrapathickclotharoundthe
capandslowlyturnit
counterclockwisetothefirststop.
Stepbackwhilethepressureescapes.
Whenyou'resureallthepressureis
gone,pressdownonthecap―still
usingacloth―turnthecap,and
removeit.

Inextremelycoldclimates,addthe
mixturepercentagerecommendedin
thecoolantmixturepercentagetable.
Runtheengineatidlewiththecooling
systemcapoff.Slowlyaddadditional
coolantifnecessary.
Atthispoint,waituntiltheengine
reachesnormaloperatingtemperature;
thendepresstheacceleratortwoor
threetimes.Addmorecoolant,if
necessary,untilthesystemisfull.

Installthecoolingsystemcap.Inspect
allconnectionsforleaks.Inspectthe
levelinthecoolantreservoironemore
timeandverifythatthecoolantlevelis
betweentheFandLmarks.
