NotWearingSeatBelts:
Notwearingaseatbeltisextremelydangerous.Duringacollision,occupantsnot
wearingseatbeltscouldhitsomeoneorthingsinsidethevehicleorevenbethrownout
ofthevehicle.Theycouldbeseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Inthesamecollision,
occupantswearingseatbeltswouldbemuchsafer.Alwayswearyourseatbeltand
makesurealloccupantsareproperlyrestrained.
SeatBeltDamagedDuringanAccident:
Usingadamagedseatbeltisdangerous.Anaccidentcoulddamagethebeltwebbing
oftheseatbeltinuse.Adamagedseatbeltcannotprovideadequateprotectionina
collision.Frontairbagsandpretensionersworktogether,butwhetherafrontseatwas
occupiedornot,ifanyairbagdeployedandwhetheraseatbeltpretensionerdeployed
ornot,allfrontseatbeltsandairbagsmustbeinspectedandreplacedifnecessary.
HaveanAuthorizedMazdaDealerinspectallseatbeltsystemsinuseduringan
accidentbeforetheyareusedagain.
TwistedSeatBelts:
Twistedseatbeltsaredangerous.Inacollision,thefullwidthofthebeltisn'tavailable
toabsorbtheimpact.Thisputsmoreforceonthebonesbeneaththebelt,whichcould
causeseriousinjuryordeath.Don'tweartwistedseatbelts.
OneBelt,OnePassenger:
Usingoneseatbeltformorethanonepersonatatimeisdangerous.Aseatbeltused
inthiswaycan'tspreadtheimpactforcesproperlyandthetwopassengerscouldbe
crushedtogetherandseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Neveruseonebeltformore
thanonepersonatatime.
CAUTION
Beltretractionmaybecomedifficultifthebeltsandringsaresoiled,sotrytokeepthem
clean.
