Placethetireinthestoragebininthetrunk.
Replacethecoverplateandbolt.
Whenstoringaflatroadtire,flipthecoverplateoverandusethelong
bolt.

Whenstoringthetemporarysparetire,replacethecoverplateand
usetheshortbolt.

Securetheboltusingthelugwrench.
Insertthelugwrenchandboltinthetoolbagandplaceoverthejack.
Replacethecarpetedloadfloorpanel.
WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE  SPECIFICATIONS
Retightenthelugnutstothespecifiedtorqueat500miles(800km)
afteranywheeldisturbance(tirerotation,changingaflattire,wheel
removal,etc.).

rust.UseonlyFordrecommendedreplacementfasteners.
Whenawheelisinstalled,alwaysremoveanycorrosion,dirtor
foreignmaterialspresentonthemountingsurfacesofthewheel
orthesurfaceofthewheelhub,brakedrumorbrakediscthat
contactsthewheel.Ensurethatanyfastenersthatattachtherotorto
thehubaresecuredsotheydonotinterferewiththemounting
surfacesofthewheel.Installingwheelswithoutcorrectmetal-to-metal
contactatthewheelmountingsurfacescancausethewheelnutsto
loosenandthewheeltocomeoffwhilethevehicleisinmotion,
resultinginlossofcontrol.
