Whenyouaresurethatallthepressurehasbeenreleased,usethe
clothtoturnitcounterclockwiseandremovethecap.

Openthecoolantbleedvalveonthebackoftheenginewateroutlet
forthe2.3Lengineorthecoolantbleedvalvelocatedontheupper
radiatorhoseforthe3.0Lengine.

Fillthecoolantreservoirslowlywiththepropercoolantmixture(see
above),towithinthe“COLDFILLRANGE”orthe“FULLCOLD”levelon
thereservoir.
7.
Closethebleedvalveandreinstallthecaponthecoolantreservoir.
Turnthecapuntilitistightlyinstalledtopreventcoolantloss.
Afteranycoolanthasbeenadded,checkthecoolantconcentration.
RefertotheCheckingenginecoolantsection.Iftheconcentrationis
not50/50(protectionto–34°F[–36°C]),drainsomecoolantandadjust
theconcentration.Itmaytakeseveraldrainsandadditionstoobtaina
50/50
coolantconcentration.
Whenevercoolanthasbeenadded,thecoolantlevelinthecoolant
reservoirshouldbecheckedthenextfewtimesyoudrivethevehicle.If
necessary,addenough50/50concentrationofenginecoolantand
distilledwatertobringtheliquidleveltotheproperlevel.
