Smart locks
Thisfeaturehelpstopreventyoufromlockingyourselfoutofthevehicle
ifyourkeyisstillintheignition.
Whenyouopenoneofthefrontdoorsandyoulockthevehiclewiththe
powerdoorlockcontrol(onthedriverorpassengerdoortrimpanel),all
thedoorswilllock,thenalldoorswillautomaticallyunlockreminding
youthatyourkeyisstillintheignition.
Thevehiclecanstillbelocked,withthekeyintheignition,bylocking
thedriver’sdoorwithakey,usingthelockcontrolontheremoteentry
transmitterportionofyourIntegratedKeyheadTransmitter,orlocking
thevehiclewiththekeylessentrykeypad.
Ifbothfrontdoorsareclosed,thevehiclecanbelockedfromany
method,regardlessofwhetherthekeyisintheignitionornot.
Autolock feature
Theautolockfeaturewilllockallthedoorswhen:

allthedoorsareclosed,
theignitionisinthe3(RUN)position,
youshiftintoanygearputtingthevehicleinmotion,and
thevehicleattainsaspeedgreaterthan12mph(20km/h)forgreater
than2seconds.
Theautolockfeaturerepeatswhen:

anydoorisopenedthenclosedwhiletheignitionisinthe3(RUN)
positionandthevehiclespeedis9mph(15km/h)orlower,and
thevehiclethenattainsaspeedgreaterthan12mph(20km/h)for
greaterthan2seconds.
Deactivating/activatingautolockfeature
Yourvehiclecomeswiththeautolockfeaturesactivated;therearefour
methodstoenable/disablethisfeature:

Throughyourauthorizeddealer,
byusingapowerdoorunlock/lockprocedure,
usingakeypadprocedure,or
orbyusingtheinstrumentclustermessagecenter.RefertoMessage
centerintheDriverControlschapter.
Note:Theautolockfeaturecanbeactivated/deactivatedindependently
oftheautounlockfeature.
